men’s counselling in Squamish.
In-person and online therapy for men dealing with stress, burnout, anger and relationship strain.
A lot of men are holding it together on the outside…
While on the inside feeling stretched thin, irritable or numb. If you're the one everyone relies on, therapy can feel like one more thing you're supposed to be good at.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Stress or burnout that a weekend off doesn't fix
Snapping faster than you'd like, then regretting it
Feeling disconnected from your partner, family or friends
Anxiety that shows up as overthinking, restlessness or irritability
Knowing something is off without being able to say what
A breakup, divorce, new baby, career change or move that knocked you sideways
How I work with men
I'm not a blank-slate therapist. I won't sit quietly and nod while you do all the talking, and I won't hand you a worksheet and call it a day. Expect honesty, some humour, and the occasional gentle challenge when it will help.
My approach is relational and nervous-system informed. We'll look at:
The stories you carry about what a man is supposed to be, who taught you them, and whether they still fit your life (Narrative Therapy).
The different parts of you, such as the part that gets angry, the part that shuts down and the part that keeps pushing through (IFS-informed work).
What's happening in your body. I teach simple tools for settling your system in the moment, so change shows up outside my office too.
What to expect
A free 15-minute consultation. We talk about what's going on and see if we're a good fit.
A first session. We cover what brought you in and what you'd like to change. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with.
A plan that fits. We build a rough plan together and adjust it as we go.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re interested in learning more, wondering what our sessions could look like, or just want to see if we’d be a good fit; book a no obligation free consultation.
Anger, Stress & Burnout
Anger is rarely just anger. It's often carrying exhaustion, hurt, pressure or feeling unseen. In therapy, we work out what's underneath it and build practical ways to respond rather than react.
Relationships & Communication
Many of the men I work with come in because of a partner, a family tension, or a pattern they keep repeating. We can work on this individually, and if you and your partner want to work together, I also offer couples therapy in person in Squamish.
